Coffee Corner Editorial Policy

Updated

Coffee Corner publishes brewing guides, product research, coffee stories, and practical tools. This page explains the evidence behind that work and how to report a problem.

Research and hands-on experience

Our current product reviews are research-based. They draw on manufacturer specifications, manuals, published reference material, and attributed retailer feedback. We do not have documented Coffee Corner hands-on tests for these reviews. A product description, recommendation, or illustration is not evidence that we bought, brewed with, or tasted a product.

The research review library focuses on individual products. Gear buying guides compare options and explain which published features suit different home routines. Labels such as “best for” describe that editorial fit; they are not results from a comparative performance test.

A hands-on claim needs an identifiable tester, the exact product, and a description of what was done. Without that evidence, we do not present a numerical Coffee Corner taste or performance score. A recommendation by use case is editorial judgment based on the published information, not a laboratory result.

Sources and their limits

Manufacturer documents are useful for specifications and operating instructions. They also contain marketing claims, which are not independent proof of performance or health benefits. Regional model numbers and product formulations can differ, so check the exact item and its current instructions before using it.

Brewing recipes are starting points. Health articles provide general information with links to the relevant guidance or research. A small study, an observational association, and clinical guidance answer different questions; none should be expanded into a benefit that the source did not establish.

Retailer feedback and private ratings

Where a review quotes a retailer rating, the retailer and historical check date provide its context. Ratings and counts can change. A listing's total review count does not mean Coffee Corner individually assessed that many reviews, and customer comments alone cannot establish long-term reliability.

The rating buttons on our machine reviews save your own opinion in your browser on that device. They do not submit a public review, create an aggregate reader score, or verify that you own the product.

Affiliate links

Coffee Corner may earn a commission when you buy through an affiliate link. Product links can lead to a retailer listing or a retailer search, and the seller controls price, availability, delivery, and returns. Read our affiliate disclosure for details.

An affiliate relationship does not provide evidence that a product performs well. Compare the stated features, limitations, and sources alongside any recommendation.

Authorship, tools, and illustrations

A Coffee Corner editorial byline identifies the publisher; it does not identify an individual tester. Automated tools may assist with research organization, drafting, formatting, illustrations, and technical checks. The publisher remains responsible for the resulting claims and corrections. Tool-generated text cannot establish an experience that did not occur.

Our About page introduces Vesi and Dim, editorial pen names used in our article bylines. Each byline links to its About-page description. Coffee Corner remains the publishing organization responsible for the content. A pen name is not evidence of a professional qualification, medical review, or first-hand product test.

Editorial and product-style illustrations help explain a topic. Unless an image is identified as an original test photograph, it should not be taken as evidence of product ownership or a hands-on test.

Dates and corrections

Publication dates retain the known publication record where it is available. An updated date describes a substantive content change; it does not mean every linked price, rating, or specification was checked on that date. Historical source checks keep their own dates.

To flag a wrong specification, unsupported claim, broken link, or other error, email hi@coffeecorner.com or use our contact page. Include the page URL, the passage in question, and a source or explanation that helps us assess the correction.
