What the BES876 manual covers

The Express Impress instructions describe its assisted dosing and tamping system, dose-level feedback and extraction adjustments. Assembly starts on page 11; care starts on page 24. Although the manufacturer URL sits under its Mexico directory, this PDF includes an English section and identifies the BES876 Series, USCM A22, on the back cover.

Assembling the Impress

Wash and dry the tank, portafilter, baskets and jug. Soak and rinse the water filter, fit its holder and fill the tank to MAX with cold potable water. Lock the hopper in position; alternating single/double filter lights indicate that it is not locked correctly.

BES876 tablet cleaning

The flashing CLEAN / DESCALE light calls for the disc-and-tablet cycle in the 1 CUP basket. This edition specifies a three-second hold of 1 CUP, 2 CUP and POWER with the machine initially off. After the tablet dissolves, remove the disc and rinse the brew head using 2 CUP.

Impress descale controls

Remove the water filter before adding prepared Breville descaler. Descale mode uses 2 CUP plus POWER for five seconds, then 2 CUP for the coffee circuit. The steam and hot-water stages and final rinse are detailed separately; use this sequence for BES876.

Descaling

Breville descaling powder

The manual names Breville descaling powder for mineral removal and instructs you to remove the water filter first. Follow the current packet and model-specific rinse instructions.

More context for BES876 owners

The Breville espresso machine guide puts assisted puck preparation in context. Owners moving from an older machine can check the original BES870 manual; our Barista Express review describes that model’s separate grinding and tamping workflow.

If your label differs, check the Breville manual index. Report a mismatch with the model code, country and page or display message; do not send a serial number.
