Inside this edition

What the ES301 manual covers

This ES301 owner’s guide covers basket selection, weight-based grinding, tamping, espresso, drip and over-ice coffee, plus manual milk frothing with the steam valve. It also explains water-hardness programming, cleaning, descaling and display notifications. The download identifies revision ES301 IB MP Mv10 260313. Its 16 PDF pages contain spreads, so printed page numbers differ.

Mini setup and water flush

Hand-wash and dry the accessories, test your water and enter its hardness with the center dial. For the first flush, lock in the double basket and select CLASSIC at the largest available size. Use a cup of at least 14 oz, then discard the rinse water.

ES301 cleaning disc cycle

Empty the drip tray, fill the reservoir and place the disc handle-up in the double basket with one tablet. Lock the portafilter, press CLEAN and start with the center dial. The roughly six-minute cycle deposits water in the tray; carefully remove and hand-wash the wet parts afterward.

Mini’s two descaling stages

The Mini uses its manual valve during descaling: STEAM for the first stage, then BREW for the second. The source gives approximately 90 minutes overall. Follow its solution preparation, vessel changes and final fresh-water coffee/steam flushes; the valve positions matter throughout.

What you’ll need

Ninja lists cleaning tablets, a disc, brush and descale solution in the ES301 box. Replacement product codes have not been confirmed here for the Mini; use your manual or ask Ninja to match ES301 before ordering.

Start with the supplies you already have. Use the official ES301 manual for quantities, control sequences and the complete rinse procedure.

Coffee-oil cleaning

The Mini’s supplied cleaning tablets and disc

Keep these with the ES301 cleaning kit and follow its clean-cycle instructions. A replacement advertised for a Premier ES601 is not automatically a confirmed Mini part.

Descaling

The ES301’s supplied descale solution

Use the Mini’s own manual and product directions for mineral removal. Check supplies already included with the machine before buying replacements.

Supply references checked October 5, 2026. These are preparation notes, not a replacement for your machine’s maintenance instructions.

More context for ES301 owners

See the Ninja Luxe Café Mini review for the ownership perspective. Our Mini and Premier comparison explains their different workflows; the Premier ES601 manual identifies the other model’s controls.

If your label differs, check the Ninja manual index. Report a mismatch with the model code, country and page or display message; do not send a serial number.
